So you’re a local influencer and you’ve accepted a barter deal from one of the brands in your location. You’re looking forward to the experience, you can’t wait to try out their products or services and leave your review.
Here’s what you need to do next:

- If the barter requires it, call or contact the brand in advance via FameUp in-app chat to schedule an appointment. If no appointment is necessary, put on a smile and go to the brands location.
- Once you get to the location, you’ll need to show the QR code of the FameUp barter, so that the brand be able to offer you the free product or service. When you get to the brand’s location, open FameUp, select your ongoing barter, and tap the “I’m here button”.
- After you tap this button, your QR code will appear on your phone screen. Show this code to the brand’s representative to get your free product or service. Once they scan your code, the verification will also reflect on your FameUp screen.
- Make sure you read the brief carefully once more and you create the requested content.
- After 20 hours, upload the proof and results in FameUp, tap Submit, and that’s it! You’ve successfully finished your barter!

- Once they get to your location, you’ll need to scan or verify their QR code. You’ll find this option in the navigation bar as “QR Scanner”. Simply tap on the icon. You can enter the code manually, or simply scan it. Then tap on “Validate” and that’s it!
- You can now offer the free product/service to the local influencer and offer additional instructions for content creation if necessary.
- After 20 hours, the local influencers will upload the proof and results in FameUp. Make sure you check them out. You’ll find some really good gems there, that you can use on your own social media to further promote your business.
- Always remember to leave feedback for the collaboration. If you enjoyed the interaction and you like the content generated, give praise and let other brands know you’re satisfied. If you didn’t, say what exactly put you off so that others know what to expect.
