“How can I be accepted in collaborations?”

“I believe I have fulfilled all the requirements. Why was I rejected?”

If you are a FameUp content creator and these questions sound familiar to you, then this article is for you.

First and foremost, to be accepted in the application, your social media activity must be qualitative and offer added value to the project. A balanced account in terms of posts, diversity, and creativity reflects, beyond the screens, an organized, authentic, and credible person in front of brands.

Secondly, behind the “rejected” status, there are two verification systems that each account goes through. One is automatic and refers to the technical aspects of the accounts, and the other verification is done manually, by FameUp agents, from a qualitative perspective of the accounts. To get a full overview, we will take them one by one.

In terms of the automatic mechanism, the rules are simple and clear. Both on Instagram and TikTok, you must have a minimum of 500 followers and, of course, a public profile. For Instagram, the engagement must be 5% on the last 12 posts. For example, if you have 1000 followers, the average likes per post must be 50. For TikTok, for less than 10k followers, the viewership must be 15%, for 10k followers or more the viewership must be 10% and for over 1 million followers, 5%.

Regarding the manual account verification system, FameUp agents pay attention to the following aspects:

👉 Content creators must be at least 16 years old

For legal reasons, 16 is the minimum age to receive collaborations through FameUp app.

🤲 Balanced content on topics

If your account contains vulgar and/or sexual content, offensive words and/or gestures, obscenities, or nudity, you will not meet the requirements for receiving a collaboration. To avoid being rejected in the app, we encourage you to only post content that does not relate to the above-mentioned aspects.

🚫 Prohibited content

We reject accounts that have posts/videos about weapons, crimes, intimidation, violence, or harassment. Brands want a collaboration where their image is not associated with these strictly prohibited things.

🔥 Content without creativity, originality, and variety

We emphasize the quality and originality of posts. Therefore, we encourage you to create authentic content. Brands mostly appreciate variety, new ideas, and creativity, rather than copying trends from social media, without adding your own touch.

👤 Accounts where the owner is absent

Accounts that mainly have posts where the content creator’s face is not shown will be perceived as impersonal and will be rejected. For example, accounts that only contain memes/ quotes/ lifeless objects/ excessive product placement will not be accepted in the app.

👏 Quality absence

It is obvious that we are very careful about the quality of content on social media. Brightness, video and/or sound quality, excessive filters, or the angle from which you take the picture/video are aspects that can help you be accepted or not on the app. Therefore, we encourage you to only post qualitative content that is clear visually and audibly.

🙌  Language

Only create content in the language corresponding to the country you have chosen in the app. The majority language used in your account must be the language of the country in which the account was created, in order to meet approval conditions.
